Vision
The "vision statement" of LPC is a concise telling of what we believe God wants us to be about as Lexington Presbyterian Church.
By God’s grace, our vision is to be a community of people who honor Jesus Christ as first in all things and labor to see His kingdom grow, both here in Lexington and throughout the world.
We will seek to put Christ first through:
God-Centered Worship
Individually and corporately worshipping God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Seeking to worship Him in spirit (genuinely from the heart and as enabled by the Holy Spirit) and in truth (only as He has directed in Scripture). Structuring our worship to be intelligible and accessible to all generations and lovingly aware of cultural difference
Witness & Mission
Intentionally sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others
Developing a lifestyle of sharing our faith with others. Seeking to impact our neighborhoods, workplaces, and the world with the good news of forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Community & Service
Lovingly serving each other and our community
Eagerly welcoming others into the fellowship we enjoy with God and with one another. Actively serving our local community and praying that through our service, it will be socially, culturally and spiritually transformed.
Spiritual Formation
Humbly seeking to become more like Jesus Christ in all we say and do
Growing in our understanding of the grace He has shown us in the gospel. Responding to His grace with a lifestyle of deep trust in Him and a persistent turning away from our sins
World & Life View
Diligently applying the truth of the Bible to every area of life
Understanding and living life from a biblical perspective. Acknowledging the Bible as the inerrant Word of God and demonstrating by our lives that Jesus Christ is the Lord of all.
